น้ำพุแห่งชีวิต

The Fountain of Living Waters

The Fountain of Living Waters poured out His soul unto death. He literally gave Himself to death.

Jesus poured His soul into His ministry: He kept nothing back, turned no one away; He crossed ethnic confines, cultural barriers, social limits, religious restrictions, natural laws, misunderstandings and personal attack to get to people so He could give to them.

There was no burden too great, no case too small; no residence too remote, no pain too deep that His love could not reach and heal.

He understood perfectly even the hearts of children, you see, children want someone to take time for them, to play with them, to talk to them and bless them; they want to be held without fear of being abused, to be spoken to without being wounded, and Jesus poured out His soul to give to that need.

The Fountain of Living Waters

The most benevolent man or woman to ever live is but a vessel with only so much they can give to others, but Jesus is the Fountain of living waters. He told the woman at the well that He could give to her Living Water in such abundance that she would never ever have reason to be thirsty.

He poured it all out. He gave it all away.

In the garden of Gethsemane He felt like He had no more that He could give, and He asked to be excused, but angels came and strengthened Him, and He poured out His soul unto death.

He gave Himself to death.

He gave and gave until it was all gone, then He bowed His head and gave up the ghost. The Bible says He gave himself for me and you. That’s what caused this Fountain to be emptied, it was the price of redemption.

The Fountain of Living Waters

God raised Him up from the dead, and now He is alive forever, to make good on this promise:

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

When you have given and given and it seems you have no more to give, remember that we are but channels of Jesus’ goodness; pour out your soul and then go back for a refill.
